Mandibular Angle Augmentation

A type of cosmetic surgery  with the used of implant to augment the angle of the mandible.
The mandibular angle is the prominence of the lower jaw in front of the lowest part of the ear. This prominence of the lower jaw frames the lower face. Just as high prominent cheek bones are associated with beauty, a corresponding and proportionately prominent mandibular angle is equally desirable.
Mandibular angle implants are typically inserted through an incision from inside the mouth next to the wisdom teeth.  In this procedure, surgeon will choose the implant of the size and shape then inserted through the incisions into a pocket created in the tissue. In some cases, a small titanium screw is used to attach the implant and the bone. After the end of the surgery, the incisions are closed with absorbable sutures
